Episode 110 - JP Flexner (Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co.)

Episode 110 - JP Flexner (Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co.)

This week’s featured artist is JP Flexner who we came to learn of through his work with Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co. Anytime I get the opportunity to call folks back in my hometown of Philadelphia it seems like a huge win for me and the project and this case was no different. JP’s story is a great one of someone who loves his craft, is true to himself and does what he does for the love and joy of creating imagery, branding and characters.

Listen to us geek out over music and life with ease and comfort that couldn’t be forced. Hear how he is trying to take my gig as the interviewer with his upcoming round table for Philly Beer Week (just messing’ JP!) A fun episode and perspective on the power of topography too. One of the big joys was his client base and those folks he choose to align himself with and how their mission and vision impacts his choice to partner with them. He gives all of himself to them and it is much more than a business relationship when you get to hear him talk about them. It will have you look at his book of business and portfolio with a unique appreciation that much like his relationships, can’t be forced.

Episode 109 - Nathan Sturdivant (Hog River Brewing Co.)

Episode 109 - Nathan Sturdivant (Hog River Brewing Co.)

This week’s featured artist is Nathan Sturdivant . We came to learn of him through his work with Hog River Brewing Co. and their sour beer series. His unique style and vibrant designs screamed to me that I needed to find out who the artist was to have them as a guest on the podcast. I am so glad I did as he was a great guest.

Learn how only four years ago he listened to his calling and went out to pick up paints and a canvas to express himself. The rest as they say is history and is part of his story and adventure to make the world a better place and impact that change through art. Continually evolving and finding himself is part of that process that he shared with us openly and honestly. A truly special person that is a perfect example of why we do this project.

The vibes were good and a connection was made. An upbeat and positive episode for everyone to enjoy.

Episode 108 - Scott Hajduk (Bunker Brewing)

Episode 108 - Scott Hajduk (Bunker Brewing)

This week’s featured artist is Scott Hajduk. We came to learn of Scott through his work with Maine’s own Bunker Brewing, but not only is he a talented designer but a great DJ. A man dedicated to his craft who continues to evolve and teach himself new tricks of the trade whether it’s with his label or on the turntables.

We take time to discuss his evolution and his self taught style for both crafts. We touched on crate diving for rare records, how he came to love Vacationland and it becoming his home as well as what to expect when catching one of his sets and the related vibe which is dynamic and organic depending on the location, date or time of day.

The two of us vibed and had a lot in common. Given my new interest in spinning, I was able to take in a lot about his perspective and approach to things albeit digital v vinyl. His love of music and being true to himself was very apparent and something that I really respect. I look forward to celebrating together in the future and sharing that positive energy.

Episode 107 - Nanna Guldbaek (Lervig)

This week’s featured artist is Nanna Guldbeak. We came to learn of her work through a recommendation from a former alum James Yeo. Nanna is the creative force behind Lervig where she brings their cans and branding to life with her unique art and designs.

This world traveler is currently based in London (where we are posting this), but has a passport full of adventure and experiences that help her tell her stories and evolve the brand. A humble and fun guest with a great perspective and insight into her process.

Episode 106 - Noah Deledda (Can Denting Artist)

Episode 106 - Noah Deledda (Can Denting Artist)

This week’s featured artist is truly one of a kind. The extremely talented sculptor is Noah Deledda by way of Tampa,FL. We came to learn of his work through a supporter of the project and his experience at Tampa Bay Beer Week 2019.

His work and its meaning are much more than the can that is shaped and repurposed for the art. It tells a story of life and appreciation for the simpler things and those pieces which connect us all. Through an everyday object that is often overlooked or just an after thought he gives it a new meaning and purpose that is powerful, beautiful and elaborate. This is truly a 16oz. Canvas.

Episode 105 - Dune Haggar (Colonial Brewing Co.)

Episode 105 - Dune Haggar (Colonial Brewing Co.)

This week's featured artist is Dune Haggar who joins us from Perth, Australia, another first for the project. We came to learn of Dune through his vivid and lucid images he creates which were brought to labels with Colonial Brewing Co. His work stands out for its creativity, adventure and Escher-like qualities. A humble guest who loves what he does and uses unique canvases to display his creativity and adventures. This shows the power of the project and community we are building together which allows us to connect with great people from all walks of life from various corners of the world. Art is powerful.

We dedicate this episode to the people of Christchurch, NZ who tragically were taken from us too soon.
